Is Web 2.0 making us anti-social?

Going back in time when technology wasn't around and we had conversations and met up and was being social-able. Now a days how many of you have everything on electrical devises? I know I do!! I use my phone and Ipad for literally everything. My music for classes, Banking, my dairy etc. Even though technology makes everything so much easier, is it in fact making us anti-social? 

With technology and Web 2.0 always developing making it easier for people to maintain consent connection with friends and family through social media, which people are doing. "The problem, they say, is that we spend so much time maintaining superficial connections online that we aren’t dedicating enough time or effort to cultivating deeper real-life relationships." (n.a. 2015) I have to admit I do use social networking a lot to keep in touch with friends and work colleges. It just makes it so much easier knowing that they are a instant message away when needing an answer or organizing a trip. 

You can't always tell what messages/emails are meaning. They could be miss interpreted or get lost in transit. I am always double checking my emails but sometimes if its late at night, most of them don't actually make any sense! wouldn't it just be easier to have face to face conversations? but again using instant messaging is always your easiest, fastest and first choice. I would love to here your ideas and thoughts on this topic? Do you think technology is making us anti-social?

    I think this is a very useful debate for us to have Ronnia who was the author? are there others out there who have done research on that topic?

      I have referenced where I got the quote from on this blog, unfortunately it didn't give a author but this is something I would definitely research and look into it more!

Integrating  arts at an early stage. Even though my inquiry is looking at dance in primary school ages and how dance is incorporated in to the classroom and teaches experiences with this. The Washington Post wrote an article about a kindergarten teacher "using theater and dance to teach math and it's working..." very interesting. Melissa Richardson a drama teacher was sent from the wolf trap institute to collaborate with kindergarten teacher, Carol Hunt to encourage students in her class using arts integration. New Literature.... After days and days of more researching I came across a professor Marilyn Berrett and ex-student of BYU, Erika Cravath.  Erika Cravath researched about integrating dance into the classroom for her honors thesis project with Marilyn Berrett being one of her mentors on this journey.
