Task 1b: Professional communication technologies Here is my first initial thoughts and ideas to this task. More research and ideas to follow. Web 2.0... Honestly this is the first time I have ever heard of this phrase, it refers to the second generation of web based communities such as social-networking sites like Facebook, twitter, blogs and collaboration sites such as wikis. It also provides an opportunity for the reader to become the creator and for the creator and reader to interact.  How does it impact on my profession as a dance teacher? As a dance teacher myself using web 2.0 helps me keep in touch with up coming news and events from examining boards, potential dance teaching jobs and upcoming performances and festivals. Using web 2.0 also helps me to promote myself as a teacher by uploading pictures and videos of my work. It also provides a extended and easier reach to employees, costumers, partners and suppliers. Whilst at the same time strengthening the bond
Task 1a: Professional Profile - Improved and Developed version Again due to ethical considerations some personal details have been kept out. So here is my updated up CV I have now added a cover of just a short overview of myself and added a watermark feature for presentation purposes. As you can see I have now updated and improved my profile and my recent results. I've still kept my GCSE marks on and I've added the courses that I have attended recently as well as more work experience. As now it shows I have such a bigger and wider range of experience to future employers.
Task 1a: Professional Profile. CV is also known as "curriculum vitae which is Latin for 'course of life'" (Editor. 2015) which is a "summary of your experience, skills and education. In the USA and Canada it is known as a résumé" (Editor. 2015) which is a "French word for summary." (Editor. 2015) Due to ethical considerations some personal details have been kept out. Here is my profile. As you can see it is a very old and boring. It also hasn't been updated since I have left high school, which was so long ago now. 😲😲😲 As I have been very fortunate to have known my boss's and haven't had to hand in my CV. For my CV there is a lot of work and updating needs to be attended. Lots of TLC. Keep watching my page to see the makeover of my CV! Bibliography Editor. I'm back!! Module 1: Skype session It's been nearly a week after our first Skype session introducing us to module 1 and it's been a very hectic week for me to. As it was ballet exam weekend for one dance school I work at so all week we have been preparing them and fingers crossed all went well just got to wait 6 weeks to find out the results. I also was helping out at a Baby Ballet show over in Oldham today so it has definitely been none stop and very active especially looking after 2-4 year olds all day and making sure they was occupied and not messing around. It was all fun and games especially when they performed for all their daddys and mummys, they were all fantastic!  Back to Module 1: Skype session... During the Skype call I made lots of notes as for me personally I learn better from writing notes and visual learning so the presentation Paula put together really helped me. I can honestly say that at first I was very confused with everything but after t
Where my Dance Journey began... What do you need to know about me and my journey in the dance industry? Well I'm Ronnia Ashworth from Burnley, Lanchashire. At just 20 years old I am a fully qualified ISTD Ballet, Tap and Modern teacher and Level 2 exercise to music instructor. I currently work for 3 different dance school/companies being Pendle Academy of Dancing and Preforming Arts (Colne), Prestige School of Dancing (Chorley) and Baby Ballet Burnley. Teaching a variety of different genres. Where it all began... At the age of 3 my mother took me to dance classes on Saturday mornings starting with ballet and tap, but little did she know that them cold Saturday mornings in Burnley was the start of my very exciting career. Unfortunately for my mum them Saturday mornings turned to Monday - Thursday nights at dancing as I became older and stronger as a dancer taking on more genres of dance such as Modern and acrobatics. At first I didn't know I wanted to become a
INTRODUCTION TO BAPP Today marks the day for my first ever blog, which is already taking me out of my comfort zone as I'm used to emailing my tasks and topics to my tutor and keeping it between us. Using this blog allows you and others to view my progress along side with me as I attend the BAPP course.🙈🙈🙈  I had my first Skype call today with one of the module leaders from Middlesex University as I couldn't make the group introduction due to working morning and nights. The module leader introduced me to the course and what BAPP was all about, explaining to look deeper and beyond into ideas. Previously I have studied a Foundation Degree which is mostly written work but for the BAPP I have been told it is more practical which will be a whole different side of work theory to me. Before my Skype call I read through the Programme Handbook which was emailed to us and it also available on myUniHub. Reading this gave me a faint idea of the course and the call
